Case-Mate began with a simple goal in mind: to make protective, stylish and affordable cases for the gadgets in use everyday.
What began as a weekend hobby, tinkering with different materials and tweaking case designs, morphed into hard ideas about a definite product. The result was an impact resistant shell that conformed to the shape of an iPod covered in rich leather. The design took the Case-Mate team overseas to India and China where they met with plastics engineers and leather craftsmen. After rejecting countless prototypes, they came up with a case that was good enough to enhance and protect an iPod at a price point that did not burn a hole in your wallet.
Since their start on Dec 7, 2005, this exciting journey has caused them to expand upon their efforts creating other products with the same single goal in mind: to make the best cases at affordable prices.

Webequip was initially set up in 2000 to educate people on the safe use of the internet and supply the necessary equipment to use the internet. Apple computers were chosen because of their ease of use and security features. Macs-4-u, initially an online store, was born out of the supply side of the Webequip business in 2001. It continued to expand, opening a small retail premises in 2003 and has quadrupled its retail space since then.
In February/March 2008, Webequip /Macs-4-u became the Australia/New Zealand distributor for Case-mate. Webequip appointed an external marketing agent to handle sales to resellers and sub-distributors. This agreement ended in early 2009. Direct sales from Macs-4-u/Webequip began in earnest in April 2009 and have grown steadily. In September 2009, Webequip Pty Ltd was born and a warehouse was leased to handle increased sales and product storage. Webequip currently stocks reseller quantities of virtually all of the iPhone cases and most of the Blackberry cases that Case-mate manufactures, to facilitate quick supply.
In most cases, orders received by 12:00 noon Perth time can be packed and shipped on the same day. Due to additional paperwork required, overseas orders may take an additional day.
